Season Stats & Kentucky Pictures
DBP Statistics
Here are the statistics I’ll track for each game throughout the season. I’ll share this full table from time to time, and after a few more games will include some season averages as well. Additional details are available in the footnotes.1
Pictures
Kentucky outperformed Duke in almost every statistical category you saw above, but none more notably than three-point shooting. The Wildcats generated 1.20 points-per-shot (PPS) from three, outscoring Duke by 18 points from beyond the arc. Duke’s 0.52 PPS from three was their lowest since November of 2022.2
The Blue Devils attempted 11 threes in the second half, making only one.3 Here are nine of those shots just before release. These were excellent looks and taken by guys I want shooting the ball every time they are open (not shown: Kon had one blocked and Mason missed a good look in front of the Duke bench).

Congrats to Coach Pope and his team, they played great - and it is always awesome when Duke and Kentucky get together. Both teams will benefit from the big game experience.
Thanks for reading, Go Duke!
eFG% - Effective Field Goal Percentage = ((3P FGM*1.5)+ 2P FGM)) / FGA
PPS - Points per Shot (i.e. 3P PPS = Pts from 3 / 3P FGA)
Line Points = Pts from 3 + Pts from FT (i.e. total points from the lines)
PPP - Points per Possession (Pts/Possession)
Correction: The initial post incorrectly stated November of 2023. This is now corrected to November 2022.
